Sponsorship terms
Between you, the sponsor, and Sponsor My AC — “we” below — who owns the air conditioner the logos go on. Buying a position means you accept these terms.
1. What you are buying
A fixed-price licence to display one logo, or one name, in one identified position for at least twelve months. A panel is printed and applied to the indoor or outdoor unit; a patron place is a name and optional link on the supporter wall on this site, with nothing applied to the machine. Either way you are buying advertising space — no ownership, no equity, no share of anything, no financial return — and it is not a donation, an investment or a tax-deductible gift.
2. Price and payment
Indoor panels $100, outdoor panels $170, patron places $25. Fixed prices, no auction. Everything is charged in US dollars through Stripe and there is no option to be charged in another currency; any card Stripe accepts can pay a dollar charge, and your bank sets the conversion rate. Euro figures shown on this site are an approximate courtesy, never the amount charged. Sales tax or VAT, where it applies to you, is added by Stripe at checkout.
3. Reserving a position
Starting checkout holds a position for 30 minutes. It becomes yours only when Stripe confirms payment; if two people are in checkout for the same position the first cleared payment takes it and the other is refunded in full. One position sells once; you may buy several, one checkout at a time.
4. Your artwork
By uploading a logo you confirm it is yours to use, that displaying it here infringes nobody’s rights, and that you are authorised to accept these terms for the brand. You keep every right you already had in it, and you grant us permission to reproduce it for this campaign — on the unit, on this site, and in installation, reveal and campaign photographs and posts. That permission ends with the display period, except for anything already published, which stays as a record.
SVG, PNG, JPG or WebP up to 2 MB; vector is what the printer wants. We scale artwork to the panel and may adjust it for print — trimming margins, or backing a transparent logo so it does not disappear — but we do not redraw or recolour it.
5. What we will not print
Every logo is reviewed by hand. We refuse adult content, gambling, MLMs, illegal products or services, misleading medical claims, hate speech and impersonation, plus anything unreadable at panel size, unsafe to apply, or obstructing the vents, fan or grille. This judgement is ours and it is final. If we refuse your artwork you may send something else, or take a full refund.
6. Placement and display period
Your panel goes on the unit. Once the campaign target is met and the machine is bought, your artwork is printed as supplied — scaled to the panel as section 4 describes — and applied at installation. Payment settles the position: there is no separate proof or sign-off step, and none is needed. It stays on the unit for at least 12 months from installation, not from the date you paid: twelve months is the floor, not a deadline, and we take nothing down merely because the year is up. Patron places run for the same minimum on the supporter wall. You also get installation photographs, a credit in the reveal post, and a link from this site for the period.
Ordinary wear is expected and outdoor panels live outdoors. We do not guarantee the machine stays in service for the whole period, and we are not obliged to reinstate a panel after the unit is repaired, moved or replaced.
7. Nothing is promised about performance
No audience figures, impressions, reach or click-throughs are offered, measured or implied, because there are none. This is an air conditioner in one home.
8. Refunds
A sponsorship is non-refundable once payment clears. No cooling-off period, no cancellation for a change of mind, before or after proof approval. The only exceptions are where we are the reason the position cannot run: if we cannot deliver the position you bought, you choose an equivalent position or a full refund; if we refuse your artwork and you would rather not send different artwork, you get a full refund.
The $3,000 target is not a condition of your purchase. Money goes to the installation as it arrives, so there is nothing held in escrow to return. If the target is missed, or the installation is delayed or never happens, your sponsorship is not refunded — what survives is the digital half: your position, name, link and credit stay on this site. Buy only if you are content with that.
We can also end a sponsorship early if the brand turns out to fall under section 5, if you misrepresented your right to the artwork, or if displaying it would expose us to a claim — in those cases without a refund. Where we take a position down for a reason of our own, we refund the unused part of the period. Refunds are returned by Stripe to the card that paid, and refunding a sponsorship ends it: the position returns to the board and the artwork is deleted. Nothing here removes a statutory consumer right that cannot be contracted away.
9. Your details
We collect what it takes to print a logo, take a payment and credit you, and nothing else. Your name, optional link and logo are published — that is what you bought. Your email (needed for a panel, so the proof and installation updates have somewhere to go) and your optional X handle are never published and never used for marketing. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel and no cookie set anywhere on this site, and nothing is sold or shared.
Card details never reach this site: payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own page, under Stripe’s privacy policy. What comes back here is the outcome and the identifiers needed to match it to your position. Records live in Cloudflare D1 and artwork in Cloudflare R2; your artwork is shown to the printer and the installer, because they are the people who have to produce and apply it.
Abandoned or expired checkouts delete themselves and their uploads automatically. Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law in Spain requires. Write to us to see, correct or erase what we hold — noting that erasing the name, link and logo of a live sponsorship ends that sponsorship under section 8, without a refund.
10. Liability, changes and law
Except where the law does not allow it to be limited — and nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud — our total liability to you is capped at what you paid for your position, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost publicity. We may update these terms; the version in force when you paid governs your purchase. These terms are governed by the law of Spain, whose courts have jurisdiction.
